Bussana Vecchia (IM), Liguria, Italy - May 2009
This small town [link] was struck by an earthquake and abandoned on february 23th, 1887. Almost a century later, a group of artists decided to open there their workshops, and now those old streets are slowly coming back to life.
This is a 180° panorama of one of those narrow "streets" and is meant to simbolize the history of the town: from top to bottom - the mess caused by the earthquake to the town (everything is upside-down) that through hard work, courage and strenght (the archs/pillars in the center) will eventually come to a new dawn (the sun at the bottom).
Handheld Canon 40D, Tamron 18-250mm f/3.5-5.6, Autopano Pro and Photoshop CS4.
